The Cathedral

Built in the 13th century in Apulian Romanesque Style on the top of the highest cliff of the Civita, La Cattedrale replaced the old monastery of Saint Eustachio. On the outside a 16 beams rose window with stained glasses and the 52-meters-high bell tower. A byzantine fresco of the Madonna della Bruna,a final judgement and a wonderful sculptured manger scene by the renaissance artist Altobello Persio are to be seen inside the church.
