An old sanctuary, pilgrimage site, on the top of a hill 15 km away from the town.
It is told that the Madonna appeared approximately in that area to some shepherds on the top of an oak tree. Since the 13th century it belonged to the benedictine order and then to the Knights of the Maltese Cross, that enlarged the church and the other spaces. Behind the main altar a picture of the Madonna can be seen, while a statue is kept in the Chapel behind the altar. Nowadays the Benedictins Olivetans hold the monastery.
